TPHD Cherished Women's Ministry

Women’s Ministry

Our women’s ministry, Cherished, speaks to the heart of every woman’s desire to feel loved and appreciated by others. Through Christ-centered social events and teachings covering topics, including marriage, family, sex, and relationships, women discover God’s love in a new and exciting way.

“You are beautiful for you are fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Psalm 139:14

Mission

We esteem women not by the world’s standards, but according to God’s Word. It is with this divine reverence that women discover how much their Heavenly Father cherishes them.

Programs & Services

Cherished offers diverse programs and services, including banquets, an annual ladies night event, and movie night. Every offering is designed to inspire women, from all socioeconomic backgrounds, to know their self-worth and know that they are cherished.

  • Ladies Night invites women to gather annually for a powerful service to worship God and fellowship with other women in a spirit-filled environment.
  • Cherished Chat provides a talk show inspired format for women to confidentially discuss intimate issues with other women in a safe, nurturing environment. “Real issues. Real life. Real talk.”
  • Chic Flic offers busy women a chance to “let their hair down,” while hanging out in the coziest pajamas, eating popcorn, playing games, and watching inspirational movies.
  • Honoring Mothers hosts an exciting banquet/luncheon for women and the phenomenal mothers in their lives.

Mission Initiatives

The Joy House

In 2013, the Cherished Women’s Ministry “adopted” this safe house for women and children escaping domestic violence. We supply residents with toiletries, clothes, school supplies, Christmas gifts, and more throughout the year. Residents are also invited to attend our Bible study lessons.

St. Monica’s Vocational School for Girls

This orphanage and school for girls in Uganda is directed by Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe. We have supported this mission since 2014, helping them to build a dormitory and water well, and providing sewing machines for students as a means for them to have a sustainable income. Additionally, we pay for uniforms and school fees, and provide a Christmas party for the school and the neighboring communities, to help them celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
