Cherished is a ministry that is designed specifically for women! Our goal is that when women attend a Cherished event, that it will be a rewarding and life-changing experience.
This is a powerful service that takes place 1-2 times a year. This is a night when women gather together to worship, to fellowship, and to experience ministry through drama, music, dance and the preached Word of God.
Cherished Chat is a talk show style event. It’s a more intimate environment, where we can discuss issues that are relevant to the everyday lives of Women, and have an opportunity to let our voices be heard. The motto for this event is “Real Issues. Real Life. Real Talk.”
Chic Flic is a time where we can let our hair down and hang out…wearing our cutest and coziest pajamas, eat popcorn, play games, and then watch a great inspirational movie.
Honoring Mothers is a banquet/luncheon where ladies from all over the city, of all ages come together to celebrate the amazing mothers in their lives.
“The Joy House” – In 2013, the Cherished Women’s Ministry “adopted” this safe house for women and children escaping domestic violence by supplying the residents with things that they need throughout the year such as toiletries, clothes, school supplies, Christmas gifts, and Bible study.
“St. Monica’s Vocational School for Girls” – This orphanage and school for girls in Uganda that is directed by Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe, is a mission we have supported since 2014 by helping them to build a dormitory and water well, providing sewing machines for the students to help them have a sustainable income, paying for uniforms and school fees, and providing a Christmas party for the school and the neighboring communities to help them celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
